Project Description

The Master in Public Administration (MPA) is a graduate degree program designed to offer a continuing innovative blend of education and skills appropriate to those existing and potential public administrators. The program focuses on principles of public administration, policy development and management, contemporary administrative theories and strategies, and accountability issues. it also prepares the professionals with specific challenges faced in public administration

Mission

To produce empowered, just, committed, and transformational leaders equipped with the knowledge required for taking the right decisions when managing the affairs on public organizations.

Vision

A master`s degree program able to produce efficient and trustworthy public servant equipped with a wide-range managerial and leadership skills grounded on ethics and a good sense of judgment.

Objectives

This program endeavors to develop graduates able to:
  • utilize advanced knowledge and skills acquired in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of public policies and programs;
  • expound analytic and problem-solving skills in solving complex problems in public/private organization and administration;
  • apply expertise in the utilization of analytical tools and techniques in research relevant to public administration;
  • demonstrate strategic management and leadership expertise in the private and public sector and their interaction in multi-level governance and administration;
  • enhance conceptual, behavioral, and specialized skills cognizant in the promotion of local, regional, and national government programs; and
  • lead their respective organizations as efficient practitioners or civil servants equipped with skills, right attitudes, and values towards good governance.
 

Program Requirements

Applicants for admission to the Master of Public Administration:

  • should have an undergraduate degree in the administration field
  • who has a non-aligned baccalaureate degree will be admitted conditionally to the Master’s program provided that she/he earned the required 9 units of the key courses of the aligned baccalaureate degree
  • should have an undergraduate degree in the administration field
  •
