To widen the knowledge of Pamantasan Ng Lungsod Ng San Pablo (PLSP) personnel on Republic Act 10173 also known as Data Privacy Act (DPA) of 2012, the Office of the Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages officiated a Data Privacy Seminar at University Library, March 17.
In discussing the important matters with regards to DPA, Hon. Elnora L. Nombrado, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Department of Justice, highlights the introduction of the Data Privacy Act, National Privacy Commission, different types of information, and the penalties that can be obtained once it’s violated. “If it is your function, release it. If it is not your function, don’t release it”, she added.
