Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo (PLSP), associated with the University Student Parliament (USP), successfully further explained and addressed the students’ concerns in the pivotal event named “Student Hour” on February 29, 2024. The event took place in the Audio-Visual Room (AVR), gathering student leaders from different organizations and colleges with the Administration.

An inspiring opening remark by Dr. Randall B. Pasco, Vice President for Student Life and Success, urged the students to speak out their concerns and suggestions in order to have a greater campus life. “Those who are here are not the only privileged and have the right to speak. Being a university parliament, you are here not by yourself. You are here to have a voice for your respective colleges, programs, and student organizations,” he added.

The primary goal of the event was to establish a platform where students can freely express their dynamic opinions, suggestions, and concerns, which can be discussed and answered by the Board of Directors, University President Dr. Sigfredo C. Adajar, Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Lorena E. Bautista, Vice President for Student Life and Success Dr. Randall B. Pasco, and Vice President for Administration, Planning, and Finance Mr. Mark Francis P. Donato.

As the exchange of discussion between administration, faculty, and students progressed, it became clear that the university values openness and recognizes the importance of student participation. “Hindi sayang ang oras at effort sa pagpunta ninyo sa Student Hour na ito. You are the representative of the minority,” Dr. Adajar added. This Student Hour is a vital part of the ongoing progress of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo.
